Honoring Scholar-Athletes

Since its inception this chapter, thanks to the tireless efforts of board members, sponsors, and volunteers has been very successful. The programs and events run by the board members have had a positive influence on amateur football in the Syracuse area and are well received. The Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Dinner is an impressive affair with over 600 in attendance. The dinner honors over 67 college and high school football players along with coaches, officials, and significant area proponents of the game. Scholarship monies available typically surpass $25,000.00 per year. To date over $211,000.00 has been awarded to matriculated college students.
